Position Overview
Individual will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and providing resolution for TSCO. He/She will ensure that BMC TSCO and its functionalities are correctly monitored, maintained, and accessible to end-users
Key Accountabilities/Duties
- Installing and configuring additional TSCO components or agents
- Maintain/configure integration with other BMC products such as TSOM, Discovery, CMDB and other industry solutions such as AWS, Azure, vCloud etc
- Develop/schedule performance, capacity, exceptions reports across critical distributed environments
- Ensure requirements for reliability and availability are met in capacity sizing and planning
- Monitor key business projects for associated capacity and performance drivers to anticipate and plan appropriate infrastructure
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess Engineering Degree.
- Experience level 3+ years with TSCO/BPA/BCO
- Should have worked in Applications Managed Services environment
- Strong and demonstrable experience in administration of Linux/Windows/Unix; Linux experience is must
- Experience using SQL-based query languages
- Strong knowledge and experience in Perl or any other scripting language
- Capacity management experience in a large distributed computing environment
- Experience in a hybrid cloud computing environment that includes AWS, Azure, vCloud
- Working/Proven knowledge of virtualization technologies
- Good knowledge of networking and database concepts
- Excellent in application and OS troubleshooting
- Application and system performance tuning experience
- Well organized with a positive attitude, and ability to work and communicate with Customers, Vendors, and other internal groups as required.
- Should be customer facing.
- Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Willing to work in shifts, weekend and on-call support will be required.
