Senior Java Developer

BMC is looking for a highly talented Senior Java Developer to work as part of our experienced backend development team located in Tel Aviv.
You will be part of experts' SaaS team that takes our products to the next level, developing the infrastructure for moving to SaaS using advanced technologies!

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop features for an industry leading product using modern backed-end technologies.
  • Work in agile within a Scrum team to meet deadlines and produce high quality features.
  • Work in good collaboration with other teams to develop joint features.
  • Provide high quality support to our customers.

Working environment and technologies:

  • Work is done in a microservices environment.
  • All features are covered with automation test in various levels and technologies.
  • Various technologies/tools are investigated and chosen to implement our vision.
  • Technologies include: Spring Boot, RESTful API, AWS WS, Docker Compose, Kafka, ZooKeeper, elasticSearch and more.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Software development (JAVA/ J2EE development) 
  • BSc. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience in web development, Java, J2EE and SQL.
  • Experience with web service protocols (REST, JSON).
  • Experience with microservices architecture based on Spring Boot.
  • Experience with relational DBs (Amazon Aurora - Advantage). 
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience with pub/sub messaging.
  • Experience with build tools e.g. Maven/Gradle.
  • Experience with Automation Tests (TestNG\Junit\Mockito. Robot Framework - Advantage).
  • Able to participate and conduct software designs.
  • Strong technical skills, problem solving skills, good communication skills, self-motivated.


Advantage:

  • Experience with the following frameworks: RESTful API implements with on swagger  
  • Experience developing cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience with Kafka, Zookeeper, Consul.
  • Amazon WS e.g. SNS, SQS, S3, EC2 etc.
  • Experience with Jenkins
  • Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, K8S
  • Experience with C++, Python  
  • Experience with Non-relational DBs (NOSQL) e.g. Elasticsearch, Redis etc.
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM
