About the Job
You will be working with a talented and passionate team to bring about new end user experience to BMC award winning Digital Workplace product (http://www.bmc.com/it-solutions/digital-workplace.html) – an intuitive and intelligent consumer-like experience to help organizations step into the future of work.
You will be asked to work closely with product managers and architects to understand requirements, present options and design solutions. Work with user experience team to understand UI screen design and to design cost effective implementation. Work with QA to understand acceptance criteria and to provide frequent drops to facilitate early and frequent testing. Collaborate with your team and to plan Agile deliverables and review code. Debug issues and provide quick resolution to problems reported by QA and customers.

What we are looking for
As a staff specialist product developer, you will be required to quickly self-organize, learn and understand the product and how it interacts with other BMC and non-BMC products. You will be required to, in collaboration with architects and leads, to propose and help make technical design decisions. You may be required to collaborate with people outside of the Vancouver office to seek the information that is necessary to make the right technical decisions.
This position is for an experienced senior enterprise web application full stack developer. You will need the following qualifications to be successful in this role:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education
- 7+ years of experience in software product development
- Experience in UI development (Angular, JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
- Experience in backend development (Java)
- Experience with building scalable, responsive web applications that span across multiple form factors
- Knowledge of REST API
- Experience with building SaaS applications
- Experience with building cloud and on-premise applications
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with best practices to build high quality software
- Experience with CI/CD process
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong collaborative spirit
- Commitment to work onsite at the BMC Vancouver office
