Principal Architect (Value Engineering)

• Value Engineering owns value based, industry-centric messaging and will drive business relevant transformational opportunities with our largest, most strategic customers.
• Value Engineering connects the platform of Digital Enterprise Management to customer business objectives with a focus on account strategy, executive dialog and alignment, value selling tools and world class deliverable.
• BMC Software Value Engineering Consultants are consultative, can deliver clear messaging to our customers around our strategy, vision, and most importantly, how our solutions can roadmap to bring value to the customer.

• Coaching sales team on critical business issues faced by customers and helps articulate BMC value proposition from a business value point of view
• Establishes credibility quickly with executive customer stakeholders
• Has prior experience/understanding of large software deals, either within or outside BMC
• Has experience with BMC and/or other software deployments and can articulate critical success factors
• Builds financial models that map solutions to business value
• Views the end products from a customer perspective
• Can draw insights about customers from public sources
• Turns presentations into a constructive dialogue moving the group to conclusions
• Leverages their internal and customer network to add to the sales cycle
• Invests time in documenting best practices, capturing and disseminating knowledge and other initiatives that enhance the organization

• Must have strong verbal phone and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting at all levels including C-suite/VP.
• Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
• Experience working in an enterprise-type software consulting or implementation environment.
• Ability to understand customer’s businesses and articulate the business value of digital transformation
• Must be willing to travel at least 25-50% of the time.
• BMC offers the flexibility of home working – must be willing to work hours supporting opportunities across multiple time zones.
• Prior Value Engineering or Presales experience advantageous
• Expertise in one or more vertical industries such as finance, telco, healthcare, manufacturing, life sciences and retail
• Experience in financial modeling the business impact of IT solutions
• MBA or other advanced degree a plus
