Senior Solution Engineer / Presales Consultant

BMC Solution Engineers work closely with our sales team and our Enterprise customers. Their role is to determine how we best satisfy our customer's unique needs through creating awareness of our products. Our Digital Security Operations suite is an exciting portion of our portfolio that involves datacenter technologies. This is a highly visible role working with some of our most successful sales teams, supporting prestigious enterprise clients and new logo accounts; You’ll help demonstrate business value of a dynamic portfolio to the largest enterprise customers around.


Primary responsibilities for role:- 
  • Provide technical assistance throughout the sales cycle to drive opportunities
  • Build, customize and deliver technical presentations, demos business cases and Proof of Value (PoV) on BMC Products. Explain how product capabilities address customer pains and deliver value within the identified scenarios
  • Actively participate in sales campaigns, identifying and developing innovative solutions to customer requirements which involve multiple Datacentre and Cloud technologies
  • Research the technical capabilities of BMC's products vs. our competition explaining the value and critical differentiation.
  • Focus on large and/or complex sales opportunities requiring complex solutions for Enterprise customers.
  • Provides demonstrations and presentations for BMC Seminars and industry Tradeshows
  • Research, compose and deliver responses to RFXs (RFI, RFP...). Interacts with clients to clarify requirements and reviews RFX responses for technical accuracy.
  • Collect business and technical requirements from clients and map them to BMC required capabilities justifying the investment through the definition of an ad-hoc business case
  • Design and build customized demonstrations of BMC solutions for prospective clients
  • Install solutions at client site as part of Proof of Value (PoV) or pilot, validating the benefits and value associated to BMC product adoption
Position requirements:- 
  • Must have proven experience working in an enterprise-type software presales consulting organization
  • Strong experience in engagements related to IT operations and Datacenter technologies
  • Ability to communicate technical and business information to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).
  • Ability to develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.
  • Analyse customer needs and implement solutions through research and troubleshooting and recommending a solution. 
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Substantial experience working in an enterprise-type software consulting, implementation, support or training experience a major plus.
