Web Infrastructure Operations Manager

LOCATIONS:
This role is responsible for the leadership of BMC's Marketing Web Infrastructure Operations team, ensuring timely execution of our production and back-office systems as well as owning the operational strategy and governance for bmc.com and related web properties. 

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of web content management systems, a proven background in leading offshore marketing teams, strong domain experience in marketing operations, experience working alongside developers, and a demonstrated focus on driving and overachieving marketing goals in collaboration with marketing leadership and peers.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of web operators located in India to enable Web Marketing strategic goals and support internal change request processes.
  • Systematically pursue operational excellence and process improvement to deliver efficiency and quality to Marketing stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify Marketing processes that are conducive to operations. Normalize, simplify, and automate those processes. 
  • Develop goals and objectives with team members to recognize and foster personal growth opportunities.
  • Manage platform vendor relationships and back-office procedures while working within specified budget to maximize the return on operational spend.
  • Coordinate online production and content architecture across a variety of web applications.
  • Maintain an optimized web governance structure - define, document, communicate out, and regularly audit content re-usability and practices with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Lead the production and publishing of translated and other non-English content across web properties.
  • Report to the Director of Web Marketing Development and Operations while collaborating with other Web Marketing functional leads in Optimization, Content, Communities, Engineering, and PM.
  • Work with operational leads from other marketing and IT functions (demand, creative, IS&T, etc.) to draft and execute cross-functional plans and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 or more years of leadership expertise in Marketing/Website/Ecommerce/IT operations including large-scale editing, publishing, and enterprise content management systems, preferably in an enterprise or IT software business
  • 3 or more years of experience with an enterprise CMS (Adobe Experience Manager proficiency is a strong plus)
  • Experience working in a matrixed global US-headquartered organization, including managing and leading offshore teams
  • Proven ability to work in cross functional teams where collaboration is required
  • Ability to efficiently communicate with and between technical and non-technical colleagues including individuals at multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience working with a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse team
