Principal Solution Marketing Manager

LOCATIONS:

BMC is seeking a passionate customer-focused individual to serve as Principal Solution Marketing, for the Digital Service Operations business. This role is a key member of the Solution Marketing team and will be responsible for leading the marketing strategy for TSOM and Capacity Cost Optimization.

This candidate will need to have experience with messaging, positioning, go-to-market strategy web content, sales tools, campaign plans, and product launches. This role will work closely with R&D and Sales.  The candidate should also have experience with new markets and technology trends like Multi-Source Cloud, Big Data, Machine Learning and DevOps.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Help increase the revenues and market share of the DSO products and solutions
  • Create product messaging, positioning and go-to-market plans for DSO solutions
  • Plan and program manage product launches
  • Develop marketing collateral, including whitepapers, brochures, case studies, presentations, training materials and videos
  • Create field-driven sales enablement tools
  • Collaborate with corporate marketing, demand generation, PR and Web teams to convey product value and competitive differentiation
  • Write blogs and newsletter articles and actively promote through social media channels
  • Deliver presentations to internal and external audiences
  • Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously and make decisions independently
  • Ability to work in a distributed team and across both business and technical stakeholders

The Person, Qualifications & Experience:                            

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional experience, and will have a successful track record of solution marketing work within a well-regarded and branded company or companies. 

Specific experiences will include:

  • Success will be judged on what is accomplished and delivered, not what is proposed.
  • Proven experience and success in Product/Solution Marketing. Additional experience in Product Management and/or Product Strategy is a plus.
  • The ability and desire to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization, persuading people with your passion is essential.
  • Analytical and data driven approach to the function with the ability to measure success, and identify industry and market opportunities.
  • Ability to develop a shared vision with solutions/product strategic leaders and sales leaders.
