Position Description: The Information Security Engineer will support the Corporate Cyber Security team to build out, maintain and troubleshoot our information security systems while supporting internal customers. Must be committed to customer service, teamwork, and building relationships. Will have the opportunity to learn multiple tools and technologies across multiple security domains.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities: Deploy and maintain security tools and systems. Implement security policy, standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures to ensure ongoing security posture. Provide expertise in security control configuration to business as needed. Develop documentation to support ongoing security systems operation. Develop, analyze and implement security specifications. Participate in incident response and break/fix situations as needed. Analyze system services, operating systems, networks and applications from a security perspective discovering security issues that appear under new threat scenarios
Qualifications: 3+ years in IT security or relevant Windows, Unix/Linux, and/or network administration experience. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Scripting/programming experience is an asset. Ability to work with little supervision as well as being a team player with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent course. 3+ years in relevant IT field.
